The main differences between classical technology and new generation technology in bandsaw teeth setting and sharpening.
1. Preparation of the band saw according to classical technology.
Band saw teeth sharpening and setting at common pass-through design classical sharpening and setting machines, in which the blade of the saw should be clamped between two parallel plates, requires highly skilled sharpener. The work of such a sharpener is expensive, moreover it is hard to finding such a person and often just impossible. As a result:
- The necessary angles in the profile of the tooth doesn’t met requirements (obtained wrong shape), the cutting edges of teeth became burned and rapidly blunted during processing – that leads to wrong sawing and quick appearance of surface waves. Low productivity and small margin as well as loss of profit and additional costs of faults removing;
- Edge of each tooth is not completely treated. In untreated places are left stressed points that after blade tensioning became quickly transformed to microcracks along which handsaw breaks. Before complete brake a band saw should cut not 10-20 m³ of round wood, but 60m ³ and even more. Otherwise this brings additional expenses on band saw buying.
- Saw teeth are set unequally, with a large deviation from required value, often without symmetry on different sides of the blade that even with a well sharpened saw lead to sawn timber surface wave. Additional costs of loose in quality;
The result of such sawing - low productivity, a pile of torn blades and a lot of timber damaged by surface wave. High costs and low profit.
2. Band saw preparing with a new generation technology.
!!! 5 core problems became solved at once:
1. No need to look for highly Exile. On the grinding machine almost anyone even without special skills and extensive training (usually the sawmill operator itself) can sharpen the band saw with good quality just in one pass. Basically enough to read the instruction only. All the work in automatic mode will be done by borazon grinding disc. Hardness of borazon disk just slightly less than a diamond one, so the disc does not change its profile during the all life. It is disposable. No need to maintains it or make shape. Resource of the disk is 10 km sharpened blade or a year of work without replacement. Big savings on wages of highly qualified personnel!
2. Band saws works 2-5 times longer - because the saw for the entire length is obtained with a completely grinded edge, and with exactly the same profile of each tooth with no burn marks, scratches and cracks, that means without points of tension, that quickly brake saw after it became tensioned on flywheels. Great savings on saws!
3. Sawmill can run on top of its possible performance due to all the teeth of the saw now have exactly the same shape with the same front and rear angles and sharpened cutting edge. Properly sharpened saw works easier, faster and produce more accurate lumber. This allows to produce more sawn timber and saves time and power for additional income!
4. The teeth setting machine is always guaranteed quick and accurate makes saw teeth spring setting equal on both sides that makes sawing without wavy cuts. Less damaged lumber - an additional income!!!
5. Lumber obtained this way is only of good and excellent quality. That is a really big profit and absence of the major troubles!!! Return on the machines is 1-4 months (depending on workload). Then they bring only net income.
